It is a fashion accessory that I can’t live without. There are countless of choices when it comes to its color yet I wear it to match my outfit and depending on my mood. I chose something dark brown if my clothes are green, yellow, cream, black while mauve for blue, pink, and pastel shades. If I am in a glam or party mood, a deep red tint is my choice. If I feel girly and feminine then pink will be my motif for the day, orange if I feel jolly and playful while I wear a nude or pale shade for a subtle and relaxing day. I usually put it on all day so I prefer matte lipstick because it lasts longer and it still looks vibrant and fresh at the end of the day. There are a lot of cosmetic brands available in the market and there are those which are considered having the top quality. The list includes MAC, Dior, Max Factor, Bobbi Brown, Estee Lauder, Revlon, Clinique, L’oreal.

It is oldest and usually it is the first to be held amongst the four (New York, London, Milan and Paris) highlights in a fashion calendar. During this time fashion designers, models, journalists, editors, Hollywood stars, stylists and all fashion enthusiasts from all over the world come over and gather in the big apple to witness the amazing talent of different designers, whether they are fashion legends or budding and promising designers. Usually big fashion names do their show in the main week while the smaller ones have their slot before or after that. During this time gowns, dresses and clothes becomes the hottest commodity. They become the center of the scene. The designers showcase their latest collection. It usually dictates what the upcoming trend for the 2 seasons namely the fall or spring and the spring or summer collection. It does not only focus on clothes but as well as the accessories, bags, shoes, make up and even the nail polish. With this fashion show, you can easily be updated and be in with the latest in fashion.
A runway experience
Published October 15, 2010 | I have only gone once in the backstage of a fashion show. I was not modelling for anything then rather I was tasked to help the models wear our products which were fine jewelleries. Most of the adornments used are big bangles, statement earrings and chokers. They had to put on big pieces which were mostly studded with the diamonds so that they can each model will have that extra spark and to catch the attention of the audience. Since they cost much we had to be assured that the jewelleries were worn carefully and properly by the models and of course not a single diamond will be lost in the entire event. Associated with modelling and fashion is glamour. After my experience with the show I learned that it is not all about that. What you don’t see in the stage is the chaos backstage. You can see the stress, everyone rushing to get everything done, models quickly switching for a different outfit, people running around to make final adjustments and modifications. My job was easier compared to the other assignment but I can already feel the tension rising, what more for the facilitator and designer? Though the pressure is on for everyone at the back of the runway they still managed to make a fabulous show.

Bill Clinton has been a former US president while Hillary Clinton is the present Secretary of the State. Through the popularity of the couple, Chelsea, who is their only child also became the centre of the media. When their wedding was announced many speculated about the details. They called it the wedding of the year because surely different people from all walks of life would surely attend it. Though the family wanted it intimate and private, they just can’t do that since they are a well known family. It was estimated that the whole wedding costs about 3.2 million dollars. They had about 500 guests which include famous personalities. The venue was held in an old pavilion owned by the Astors. The bride looked absolutely stunning in her strapless silk organza gown made by the famous couturier Vera Wang. She happens to be a good friend of the family and she was also seen in the in the wedding. Along with the bride’s beautiful gown, she also made the bridesmaid’s dresses and Chelsea’s second gown for the reception. For the mother of the bride, she wore raspberry gown from Oscar dela Renta’s creation. The groom and his father also looked much tailored with their tuxedos from Burberry. The wedding was well celebrated by the family’s supporters as well.
